"Doesn't hold a candle to Marathon mascara. Flakes, runs and doesn't hold a curl. More money wasted on trying to find something to replace Marathon. I'm athletic and outdoorsy, so I really enjoyed Marathon's staying power. PLEASE bring it back!"

"I can't believe this is the substitute for Marathon. This flaked so badly, ran if I came near water and made my lashes stick straight. More money wasted. Please bring back Marathon. I'll pay triple for it lol, probably more. Petition maybe ; )"

"This was okay for the price. I have tried all the Cover Girl "waterproof" mascaras, and none of them can come close to Marathon. Cover Girl needs to bring it back!"

"Marathon Waterproof was the ONLY one that ever worked well for me, & it would seem that others feel the same. I keep trying others with no success. I have oily eyelids, & watery eyes. This one left flakes and smears. Please bring back what we want!"

"I have straight Asian eyelashes, and this is the only mascara that really works for me. It clumps a little, so what I do is I blink slightly while applying. This mascara is definitely waterproof, and I love it! It definitely keeps my eyelashes curled"

"I wore Marathon Mascara since my teens and it never flaked off or gave me black rings under my eyes like this CG product does. I am so disappointed that Cover Girl will not return Marathon Mascara back to the shelves after reading all the requests!"

"After my favorite mascara was discontinued (L'Oreal), I tried many brands (incl. other CG products) until I found Pro All-in-One. It separates and defines fine lashes, and the Waterproof version really holds the curl and lasts all day. Thank you CG!"

"Pros: very waterproof, cleanser-proof, cry-proof, anything-proof.
Cons: Will not get the heck off my eyelashes, is heavy, thick, and clumpy, and does not coat my lashes one-by-one, as Covergirl says all their mascaras will."

"Potential replacement for Marathon? NOT! As w/ many women on big makeup review site = FAIL! I've used Marathon since high school (I'm now 45). Tried most CG h2o-proof mascaras as replacements = nope! Very sad CG has lost a customer of 30 years."

"Tied every mascara available before it was discontinued, every mascara available since (including all Cover Girl so called replacements nothing compares}. They all flake. clump, lump and none can hold a curl like Marathon. U lost a customer for good"

"I've tried alot of different mascaras, but this one is my favorite. I have fairly skimpy lashes with no natural curl, so i have to curl them daily. This waterproof formula helps hold the curl, and resists clumping and smuging. Love it in Very Black"

"This might sound gross but, I do lots of hard work outside and sweat frequently runs into my eyes/off my eyelashes. This is the only product that doesn't leave my under-eyes black and lashes either bare or spiky. NOTHING makes this mascara budge."

"I love it! I just got it and put it on. It looks soooo good, and way better than Stila or any other waterproof brand. Didn't smudge, flake, or look anything less than natural and pretty. I used black brown. ANd yes it is VERY WATERPROOF! great buy!!!"

"I love this mascara in the way that it gives my lashes legnth and definiton, but its flaky if u rub it and it doesnt come off very well even if you use eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara! I would recomend it because I love, but I probably wont"
