"I LOVE the Professional All-in-One Curved Brush Mascara, but everytime I buy one the cap breaks! It cracks from the bottom up so that I have to throw the cap away. Then its hard to apply and the mascara dries up very fast!!"

"I,. too, like many others have commented on this page, want Marathon Mascara back. I wore it at my wedding, went swimming with it, wore it in shows I performed in and sweated - and my eyes looked fabulous! It was the best!! Please - bring it back!"

"I am now looking at other brands of waterproof mascara. CG MARATHON mascara was the best and lived up to its name. MARATHON. WATERPROOF. MASCARA. Bad call on your part, Cover Girl. I'm switching. It looks like other faithful users may too."

"Poor product wear & quality. Purchased in place discontinued CG MARATHON Waterproof, sadly no comparison to that formula, WHY? CGM lengthened, no smudge, flakes, added volume, held curl, & was best formula for over 3 decades! BRING IT BACK PLEASE!"

"I don't know what has happened to the casing.
The last 2 tubes of mascara I have purchased, the lid has broken. When the lid breaks, the wand and brush come out of the cap and the mascara begins to dry up.
Not so happy with this product any more!"

"1977 I started wearing Marathon Professional Mascara. I used to swim, shower, cry, etc. & never worry abt my mascara. I tried 5 other CG products claiming waterproof...0 are near waterproof. I'm not happy having to try new brands after 30+ years! :("

"I used Marathon Mascara since I was a teenager - 3.5 decades! The recommended "Professional All-in-One" Waterproof can't touch Marathon. Not only is it NOT waterproof, it's not even smudge-proof. I have racoon-eyes within 1 hour of applying it."

"I have used Marathon Waterproof Mascara since I was 12 years old - I am now 45 - you do the math! That's a long time! I have not been able to find anything that comes remotely close to Marathon Mascara and I miss it terribly. Please bring it back!!!"

"I've used Marathon for years! It was waterproof! Cold cream was how I removed it. The best you guys ever made! If not Marathon then the formula. The closest that I've found is CG Volume Exact waterproof. Works almost as well. Is actually waterproof."

"Have used this mascara for years. The curved brush grips your lashes and doesn't make them clumpy or "spidery." It also comes off easily with soap and water. It's true the cap tends to crack, but try not tightening up."

"The quality of tube is poor. Caps of two tubes of my mascara with the same design ended up cracking and the brushes are no longer attached with the caps, which causes mess and inconvenience.The must have used poor plastics when producing this line."

"This mascara is awesome! It catches every lash perfectly, and I never get any clumps. The best part is after 2 coats of application your lashes still look and feel natural, not crunchy and it also doesn't smudge. Perfect!"
