"i honestly haven't had a problem with this eye liner. i have it in the black/brown and the very black. it's one of the BEST liquid eye liners i have ever used. if it dries out then just put a little bit of water in there, shake it up, ur good to go"

"I bought this more than a few months ago and was happy at first. It started to dry out after a few weeks, so I stopped using it. I picked it up again and it works amazingly now. I found that storing it upside down helps A LOT; hope that helps people."

"Bought this in SMOKE and it was green!! Not the smoky/charcoal color it looked like on the package. Don't recommend this eyeliner one bit!"

"I have used this product for about a year. The black is just too dark for me. However, the last two liners I have bought have dried up very quickly. Almost within 1 week. I would like a darker smoke color and one that doesn't dry out please."

"Consistent with other reviewers, I bought two of these, and both contained nothing more than gray water. It was impossible to apply onto the eyelid. As a longtime CG customer, I was soooo disappointed."

"Very disappointed in product. I have bought this eyeliner for years and recently, the last 3 purchases have dried up in a matter of days! VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED!!!!! Seems to be a common theme! Covergirl needs to fix ASAP!"

"I used to LOVE LineExact but you have apparently changed the formula. My liner dries out within a week now. Guess I will have to shop for a new brand of eyeliner. Goodbye, LineExact! I can't afford to buy new eyeliner each week! Sorry!"

"I have been using this product for approximately 5 years. Was great at first, but has been slowly deteriorating. Just purchased a new one about a week ago and has already dried out. Would love to see the original formula or the new one fixed."

"Always screw the lid on tightly after using. Still, it will probably dry out.
HOW TO RESTART IF IT DRIES OUT:
- Put some water on finger, use finger to wet tip
- Put cap on, shake while holding upside down
- That's it. This will work repeatedly."

"Switched from Mac eyeliner to CG and liked the black but it only lasted a few weeks. Decided to try a different color, smoke, it worked for the first two days and now just comes out as lightly colored water."

"Good product. Easy to use. Compact portable size. I have had product for months and it has never dried out even with frequent use. Did you know that product says "Shake Well" in small print on the side of tube? Try that & cap tightly. A good value."

"This was the worse money I have spent lately. I used it once with in a week it was dried out!. I use Cover Girl all the time and was hoping that it would work but the stuff i got at the dollar store has lasted longer."

"I too, love the way this eyeliner goes on, lasts on my eyes & looks, however, this is my 2nd one that has "dried" up within a week. I even shook it, kept it upside down, to no avail. I was comforted to read other reviews with the same concern."

"I bought this product in Smoke to attempt a wing-eyed look. The first time that I used it, the color was rich and thick, but after that the tip was dry even after shaking, and the color was thin and watery. Really didn't last more than 5 days. :("
